What Oil Crisis?

Most everyone knows that oil is supplied by wells in the Middle East ,Algeria,Venezuela, and Texas etc. Also there are thousands of small oil and natural gas wells all over the world , including Ontario,Canada and Michigan,USA.Now let's not forget the offshore wells by Canada's East Coast and the Gulf of Mexico ;nor the vast oil sands in Alberta ,Canada and the massive oil supplying wells of Russia and the Arctic.
Oil is sold to refineries by the barrel which is about 400 USG.at mid-March/08 prices around the $100 USD.So at $0.25 USD per USG with added costs for transportation, splitting of molecules (refining ),adding additives, storage, more transportation, more storage, labour, sales costs ,advertising, three levels of profit and of course 3,4 5 possible taxes.the price is now $1.90 USG.Now wait!
You are paying $3.80 USG or $4.60 Metric Gallon or $1.09 an Imperial gallon.
From every USG of oil plastic is produced.Plastic now consumes 54% of all oil refined and despite the costs of production and transportation etc. we as the gas and deisel consumer pay twice for the plastic by paying double for a gallon of gas.
Don't believe me.Think I am blowing smoke.
Billions of gallons of crude are openly and also secretly stored as reserves worldwide in an attempt to equalize energy costs worldwide to appease certain governments for peace.Don't forget also the costs increased by commodity market speculators.Everyone makes a profit on our backs with the excuse that the money is needed to fight the war on terror that wants us to stop using oil and get out of Islamic countries to bring peace.War to bring peace ?
So, in effect ,the futures market and the OPEC countries are helping to fight the war on terror by raising crude oil prices,
Alternative energy sources are an answer but opposition is not the cost issue.
Producing plastic from renewable sources is feasible but then gas prices would have to come down.
High gas and deisel prices increase all costs because everything we use comes to us via plane ,train ship,or truck.Equalizing world prices only works if the standard of living in ALL countries is equalized first.
I could go on and on but I want to hear your ramblings instead.

Well:I have not received any pro nor co comments on the above 'Tongue in Cheek' rambling ,so if you want more serious comments check out my http://the5sistersNetwork.nin.com
